Who pays for PlanTogether?
You do - PlanTogether bills the advisor, never your clients. Clients simply download the app on iOS or Android, accept your invitation, and get to work in their own budget, plan and goals - Budget, Safe-to-Spend with a 12-month cashflow runway, Debt Freedom, and goals. Your subscription starts on the $0 SetUp plan: every feature, for you and your first 5 clients.
That's the whole billing relationship - you carry the subscription, starting at $0. Whether you're an insurance advisor building a case for coverage or a financial advisor keeping a plan on track, the client side is the same app on both sides of the border.
What do my clients see?
A personal budgeting app: their Budget, a Safe-to-Spend number backed by a 12-month cashflow runway, Debt Freedom with payoff dates and an extra-payment slider, and their goals. Two optional add-ons - Payday Planner and Cashflow Calendar - switch on when a client wants them. No advisor jargon and no product shelf: it reads like their own money app, because it is one.
- Budget - the day-to-day spending plan
- Safe-to-Spend - one number, backed by a 12-month cashflow runway
- Debt Freedom - payoff dates, with an extra-payment slider
- Goals - the things the plan is actually for
- Optional add-ons: Payday Planner and Cashflow Calendar
Each of those tools has its own walk-through - screens, the Safe-to-Spend math, how Debt Freedom handles extra payments - on the client budgeting app tour. This page stays on your side of the relationship: inviting clients, what flows back to you, and what it costs.
How do I invite a client?
From your advisor dashboard, with a personal invitation. The client downloads PlanTogether on iOS or Android, accepts, and they're connected to you. From that point you're both working in one live shared file - the plan you build and the numbers they keep fresh are the same record.
The invitation is personal - one client at a time, sent from your dashboard. After that, the day-to-day belongs to the client: it's their app and their numbers. Your side is watching the plan you built fill in with real figures.
What do I get back when clients use it?
The plan you built, kept current between meetings. Every number a client updates - a paid-down balance, a new expense, a raise - flows into the plan instantly, because you're both in one live shared file. You open the next review with today's figures, not the ones you gathered last time, so the meeting starts at the decision instead of the data entry.
Worth being plain about what PlanTogether doesn't do: no insurance quoting, no product or illustration comparisons, no in-force illustrations, and no CRM pipeline. It isn't trying to replace your quoting tools or your book-of-business system.
What it does is narrow and useful: one live shared file per client, where your plan and the client's current numbers are the same document - not two versions that drift apart between meetings.
What does it cost me?
The SetUp plan is $0 per month and includes every feature for you and your first 5 clients. Beyond that, three plans: Starter at $29, Planner at $49, and Compliance at $79 per month - billed in CAD in Canada and USD in the US. On every plan, PlanTogether bills you, not your clients.
- SetUp - $0/month. Every feature, for you and your first 5 clients.
- Starter - $29/month.
- Planner - $49/month.
- Compliance - $79/month.
Prices are per month, CAD in Canada and USD in the US. The plan-by-plan breakdown is on the pricing page.
Canadian advisors: compliance is the second half
If you sell life insurance in Canada, PlanTogether adds two named modules - Client-Level Compliance and Sale-Level Compliance - that generate the sale document chain: advisor disclosure, privacy consent, a fact find your client confirms, needs analysis, reason-why letter, replacement paperwork including the Quebec AMF notice, and the policy delivery receipt. Signed copies go on record in the client file, with a dated audit trail behind every document.
These modules are Canada-specific. If you advise in the US, PlanTogether is the client app and the live shared plan - this section is the only part of the page that doesn't apply to you.
The full compliance story - both modules, each document in the chain, and how the audit trail holds up - is on the life insurance page.
Download PlanTogether and invite your first client on the $0 SetUp plan - every feature, for you and your first 5 clients. The plan-by-plan breakdown is on the pricing page.
