The honest answers.
Is the SetUp plan really $0?
Yes. SetUp is $0 for you and your first 5 clients who accept your invite. It has client onboarding and client budgets, and for life-licensed advisors, the life-insurance analysis, client meetings and the compliance forms (Canada only). E-signing is the one exception: in Canada, life-licensed advisors can try it on 10 client-file documents, enough for about 5 new clients. No credit card, no trial countdown.
What happens after 5 clients?
Nothing breaks and nothing is deleted. New client cards simply wait, greyed out, until you pick a paid plan. Your existing clients keep full access.
Do my clients pay?
No. Your clients don't pay for the app. PlanTogether bills you, not them. If you decide to charge a client for budget access, you set that up with them yourself, outside the app: name one price, or a different number for every client at your table, and you keep the revenue. Your clients log in any time to update their details and review their plan.
I'm an accountant, bookkeeper, money coach, or mortgage or real estate agent. Which plan is mine?
Essentials, at $39 a month. It is for financial professionals without a life-insurance licence: accountants, bookkeepers, tax preparers, money coaches, mortgage and real estate agents, and advisors licensed for mutual funds or securities. You start on SetUp at $0 for your first 5 clients; Essentials covers every client past 5, with client onboarding, their own budget when you turn it on, and savings and investment balances and net worth. The life-insurance analysis and the compliance forms are for life-licensed advisors, so they are not part of Essentials.
Can I switch plans later?
Anytime. Move up a tier and it’s prorated: you only pay the difference, from the day you switch. Move down or cancel and there’s no new charge: your current plan runs out the time you’ve already paid for, then ends. Paid plans replace one another; they don’t stack.
I'm already on Starter or Planner. What changes?
Your plan now includes everything listed for it above, at the price you already pay.
What currency are the prices in?
Prices are billed in CAD for advisors in Canada and USD for advisors in the United States. Clients don't pay for the app.
Which plans can US advisors choose?
US advisors choose from the same plans at the same numbers, in USD: SetUp at $0, Starter at $39 and Planner at $59 a month. In the US, Starter is client onboarding plus client budgets, and Planner adds the life-insurance analysis, savings and net worth, and client meetings. The compliance forms and their e-signatures follow Canadian rules, so they, and the Compliance plan, are Canada only. Other financial professionals choose Essentials at $39 in both countries.
Which plans include e-signatures?
On Starter and Planner, you send the client-file forms for e-signature: your advisor disclosure and privacy consent. On Compliance, you can send every compliance document, including the life-sale documents. On SetUp, you can try it on 10 client-file documents, enough for about 5 new clients. Your client signs on their own phone with you there, in person or on video, or from an emailed link. E-signatures are Canada only.
Where are the compliance forms available?
In Canada only: every province and territory, and each client's forms follow the rules of their own province or territory. The rest of PlanTogether works across Canada and the United States.
Is there a contract?
No contract and no lock-in. It’s month to month - cancel any time. We’d rather earn the next month than trap you in it.
Start with 5 clients. On us.
Invite one client. They fill in their own information, with you across the desk or at home, and there's nothing to retype when you get back to the office. No credit card.
